Platform switching<\/strong> \u2013 The fitting diameter of the abutment is smaller than the outside part of the implant connecting to the bone. The bone may slide on to the top flange of the implant, and in turn the soft tissue will close in around the ingoing aperture of the bone nest and the implant\u2019s connecting surface, covering and sealing it up like a sealing ring.<\/p>\n
