We are delighted that the BIONIKA milling center was finished last year. The milling center was provided with several cases to be solved, some cases of them seemed to be unsolvable. Fortunately, we have found solutions for every case to the satisfaction of our partners. The most suprising works are shown in this article.
1. case – Tooth and gingival replacement in one step
A young man’s upper denture was injured due to a major accident. A surgery was performed on the patient during which a bone piece was removed from the maxilla. This was not replaced, thus the patient needed gingiva replacement, which was formed from the denture. On the first picture it is shown that in the front the teeth of 11 and 12 and the interdental papilla needed to be replaced. Our dental technician scanned the sample on the picture and began planning the tooth augmentation in the computer software.

The finished toothwork on the sample can be seen on the following picture. After the design, the framework was milled from the zirconium with a 5-axis dental milling cutter and was followed by sintering. It was passed on to our partner, who only had to make the anatomical form of the ceramic for the finished frame, thus his job was to concentrate on the perfect aesthetics for the patient’s greatest satisfaction.

2. case – Full circular zirconium bridge in „goliat” size
This case was provided by our dental technician. An elderly lady patient was provided with a bigger than average mouth size and she would have wanted full circular bridge tooth replacement, but many people didn’t want to undertake this job. After these rejections, we undertook this „inconceivable” case. After receiving plaster sample, we we scanned and designed the entire tooth framework.

The bridge barely fit in the furnace after the production. A common problem occuring during sintering is that the material is able to warp, thus we paid particular attention in favor of the subsequent proper fixation. The circular bridge was made of zirconium, which was passed on to our partner for dissimulation.
3. case – Toothwork fixed with multi-unit screw
We received a multi-unit based wax-up pattern from one of our partners. The patient was provided with two implants, for which a bridge replacement was wanted. The scanned tooth sample is visible ont he pictures with the inserted BIONIKA UNIFORM (Compatible) AC technical implant and the Multi-unit head screw.

Bridge with preci vertix slides
Zirconium was the primary element of a combined tooth augmentation (2 pieces binominal glued bridge with preci vertix slides) which was made for a metal-sensitive patient. The sliders are parallel to each other in order that the secondary element of the replacement (the removable part) can be tensioned without problems.

Unique abutments for tooth frameworks
In addition to standard solutions, it is possible to design individual abutments for toothworks. There is a possibility to make compatible abutments with the implant systems used in Hungary.

In addition to this, we are open to innovation, and we also realize the unique ideas of our partners. In this way a new zirconium cap came into being during our development which can be attached to a titanium base, for which the zirconium crown can be made in a traditional way. The zirconium cap from different views is shown on the above picture line.
In the case of tooth augmentation for implants, it is recommended to use the axis correction anatomical heads.

These heads are individually designed for the scanned plaster sample, following the gum line around the implant. The uniquely designed, hexagonal, collar abutment, which follows the gingiva can be seen on the picture.
If more than one abutment is needed to be placed next to each other, one should place them in parallel, as shown in the images.
In this case, the finished toothwork may be glued even without polishing the heads. The axis correction anatomical heads are made from zirconium.

Conclusion
The toothworks made with 3D digital technology are becoming more and more widespread in today’s dental trends. It is difficult to maintain profitability for those dental laboratories, who have not yet introduced CAD / CAM technology for making tooth augmentations due to high conversion costs. In order to help with this problem and to assist the inconceivable cases, the BIONIKA Milling Center was established. Our toothworks can be made from titanium, zirconium, Co-Cr alloy and wax based on the submitted plaster model or STL file. There are over 50 different geometries to choose from for the finished framework. In this way You only have to focus on the perfect aesthetics and leave the rest to the BIONIKA Milling Center!
